Details of artists and programmes are correct at the time of going to press but may be subject to late alteration.

Why not join us for lunch at 1 o’clock?
There is a three course lunch + tea/coffee prior to the recital, served at 1 pm with the bar open beforehand. The charge for lunch this year is £12.50 per person: Booking essential on 0115 950 0411. (Please let the Albert Hall know too if, having booked for lunch, you find yourself unable to attend.)

Parking
Unlimited Sunday on-street parking is expected to go up to £3 in Zones 2 and 3 (Zone 1 is far more expensive). Our website will keep you informed as far as possible, but it will be essential to read the parking meter carefully as neither the Binns Organ Trust nor the Albert Hall can be held responsible if you incur a fine, so you must check the meter to see that you are in the correct zone and are paying the correct fee. (This information is correct at the time of writing).

If you prefer (or need) to use a multi-storey car park, it may be possible to obtain a reduction if you use the St James’s Street or Mount Street car parks. Simply ask at the Albert Hall for a supplementary ticket which, presented with your car park ticket on exit, will – depending on the length of your stay – ensure you’re charged at a lower rate.

Can you help us?
While much goes on behind the scenes to prepare for these recitals, there are ways you could be involved on the day of the recital itself:

Audience members who have booked lunch start to arrive from 12:15 onwards, and others come in up to the time when the recital starts. We should like to invite you to join our small front-of-house team, whose duties are to:

  • welcome audience members
  • receive payment for their admission
  • issue them with their free programme
  • make sure they have the brochure detailing the other Binns Organ concerts
  • deal with sales of CDs (ours or the soloist’s, if they are selling discs)
  • deal with any other enquiries audience members may have
  • help with counting the money

If you would like to help with this essential part of our work please get in touch with Ian Wells on 0115 950 4464 or ianwells62@gmail.com

What’s in it for you?

  • the fulfillment of knowing you are helping the Binns Organ Trust
  • getting to know our audience members
  • free admission to each concert at which you help!
